Atonement is Killswitch Engage's eighth album.
Killswitch Engage has released their eighth studio album, Atonement .
The album is a sort of letter from vocalist Jesse Leach recounting the problems he went through. Leach had health problems that almost prevented him from continuing in the band, went through a divorce, and deals with depression and suicidal tendencies.
“I wanted the listener to feel the urgency, the weight of the subject, as well as a possible connection. Many people suffer from mental illness in one way or another. I want nothing more than for people not to feel alone in this struggle,” said the singer.
