Loureiro had to learn 18 songs in three days
Kiko Loureiro said that one of the most memorable experiences he's ever had as a member of Megadeth was their first show.
In a short video posted on Megadeth's official YouTube channel, Kiko says: “The first show I ever did was in Canada. We weren't on tour – it was a one-off show. So, I had to learn all the songs – about 18, or something like that – for one show. And it wasn't a small show. It was a gigantic festival for 70,000 people in Quebec. One day of the festival the Rolling Stones , the next day the Foo Fighters . The next day Megadeth, with me, at my first show.”
Dave Mustaine how he was playing . “Dave was showing me different things that I would have to play three days later. Everything was new. And suddenly we were on stage. No soundcheck, because it was a festival. 70,000 people. Canadian TV. I'll never forget that!”
