Megadeth guitarists Kiko Loureiro and Marty Friedman kicked off their joint tour in Brazil last Friday night, the 30th, at Santo Rock Bar in Santo André.

The guitarists were accompanied by renowned musicians Bruno Valverde on drums,  Felipe Andreoli on bass, and vocalist Alírio Netto .

The setlist largely featured Kiko, showcasing instrumental tracks from his solo career. The guitarists played some Megadeth songs together, including a version of "Dystopia" with Kiko singing, as well as "Tornado of Souls," "Conquer Or Die," and "Killing Time."

The performance also included tracks from Angra, not only "Rebirth" and "Angels and Demons" but also a version of "Late Redemption" combined with "Heaven and Hell" by Black Sabbath .

Marty played two tracks from his solo career, "Hyperdoom" and "Tearful Confession." The highlight was the songs "Asa Branca" and the classic "Brasileirinho," performed by Kiko Loureiro and Marty Friedman.

The performance is part of the tour for Kiko Loureiro's new album, Theory of Mind . The tour continues on June 4th in Belo Horizonte, at Mister Rock; then on June 5th in Porto Alegre, at Opinião; June 6th in Rio de Janeiro, at Sacadura 154; June 7th in São Paulo, at Tokio Marine Hall; and finally, on June 8th in Curitiba, at Ópera de Arame.
