Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro , known for his history with the bands Megadeth and Angra , announced his debut in film with the release of the trailer for the movie Theory of Mind . Loureiro not only serves as executive producer, but is also responsible for the soundtrack of the production, which is scheduled to premiere in 2026.

The film, created and directed by filmmaker Leo Liberti , promises a narrative that delves into the intersection between artificial intelligence and human psychology. According to a press release, the plot revolves around seven global influencers brought together to test the launch of a smartphone with advanced AI. What seemed like an experiment in advanced technology, however, transforms into a dangerous psychological challenge when a critical system failure puts the participants in a critical situation.

In the cast, audiences will find acclaimed names from cult horror cinema, such as Kane Hodder , famous for playing Jason Voorhees Friday the 13th franchise . Also featured is Bill Moseley , known for memorable roles in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 Rob Zombie films .

The choice of the production's title is not random. Theory of Mind was also the name of Loureiro's solo album released in 2024, whose theme explores how human beings interpret the thoughts of others.

In statements to the press at the time of the album's release, Loureiro described the project as a journey between music, emotion, and technology, as well as a reflection on human connections in a world increasingly mediated by machines.

With distribution planned for next year and a trailer already circulating on digital platforms, Theory of Mind represents an ambitious fusion of music, film, and technology, as well as marking a new chapter in Kiko Loureiro's career.
