Former Angra guitarist Loureiro spoke about his relationship with Andre Matos
On Saturday, June 8th, the world lost one of the greatest voices in the world of metal. Andre Matos , of Angra , Shaman , and Viper , passed away due to a heart attack.
Former Angra teammate Kiko Loureiro commented in a video about why he went 20 years without speaking to Andre.
Among other things, Loureiro spoke about the conflicting personalities of the two musicians. Furthermore, he compared their relationship to a past romance. "It's strange to go out to dinner with your ex-girlfriend or ex-boyfriend.".
He also said that he considers it a mistake that he stopped thinking of Andre as a friend. "Whenever I thought of Andre, it was as a professional opportunity. Not just as a friend I should meet and talk to."
