Fans waiting for the Megadeth in San Francisco, USA, certainly didn't imagine Kiko Loureiro swapping his guitar for the flute during the band's rehearsal before going on stage.

The moment of relaxation was shared by the musician in the most recent behind-the-scenes video from The Metal Tour of The Year , during the performance of the track "Dawn Patrol" from the album Rust In Peace (1990). In the absence of Dave Mustaine , who does not appear in the footage of this episode, Loureiro's unexpected version remained. To date, the song has not appeared on the band's setlist.

In behind-the-scenes footage from the Portland show, Kiko Loureiro is seen in full swing with his workout routine at a gym before proceeding with the routine that fans are already familiar with: soundcheck, preparation, and showtime.
