While some rock stars support isolation and preventative measures against COVID-19, well… Others do the exact opposite.

Kid Rock's Big Ass Honky Tonk & Rock & Roll Steakhouse , by American singer Kid Rock , is refusing to close its doors during the pandemic, even with the Nashville city government's request to close establishments in a region of the Tennessee capital.

In response to Mayor John Cooper , the bar's co-owner, Steve Smith, stated: “We appreciate Mayor Cooper's efforts to combat the COVID-19 virus, but unless there is a state mandate requiring all bars and restaurants to close, Mayor Cooper's request is unconstitutional, as he is only targeting a specific group of businesses.”

Smith continues, at one point in the statement: “A Tootsie customer (…) mentioned having lived through the polio epidemic and couldn’t recall such extreme measures being taken in history.” This concludes the argument of the bar's co-owner.
