California Governor Gavin Newsom announced last Saturday, the 20th, that
American singer Kid Rock can no longer perform in the state.

In a satirical take on the current US government, Gavin Newsom is following President Donald Trump on social media. The governor writes in all caps and talks about issues that should be irrelevant to government officials. This time, the subject was the ban on Kid Rock concerts.
Kid Rock has been a Trump supporter since the president's first candidacy in 2016. Last year, he sang "American Bad Ass," from the 2000 album The History of Rock , at the Republican National Convention, adjusting the lyrics to be pro-Trump. The musician has not yet commented on the state ban on his concerts.
What led to the cancellation of Kid Rock?
Although he made no public or official announcement, Gavin Newsom's attitude was seen as "a response to the situation surrounding television host Jimmy Kimmel. The American government suspended the Jimmy Kimmel Live! indefinitely on the ABC network last week," according to the website Louder .
Brendan Carr , chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), threatened last Wednesday, the 17th, to take action against the ABC network and its parent company, Disney, due to comments made by Kimmel about the assassination of far-right speaker Charlie Kirk .
After the suspension of Kimmel's program, Trump boasted on his social media platform Truth Social , writing:
"Great news for the United States: Jimmy Kimmel's show, which had its ratings questioned, has been CANCELLED."
