Kevin Parker , leader and multi-instrumentalist of Tame Impala , has released his newest synthesizer, "Orchid," developed in collaboration with Telepathic Instruments , which Parker co-founded.
Conceived over a decade ago, “Orchid” is defined as a synthesizer with advanced chord generator hardware, designed for composers, producers, and musicians who want to expand their compositional possibilities and explore new sounds.
Designed by Ignacio Germade , who is also the co-founder of Telepathic Instruments, the "Orchid" features an eight-key matrix with a chord selection and modification system, plus an additional octave keyboard.
The instrument also includes a 16-voice polyphonic synthesizer engine, a separate bass synthesizer engine, modulation effects, delay and reverb effects, loop mode, rechargeable battery, and a MIDI output.
Starting December 18th, Kevin Parker's new synthesizer will be available for purchase for $549.
