Kerry King has released the new single “Residue” from his debut solo album, From Hell I Rise , which arrives on May 17th. The song was accompanied by the album's debut music video, showing the Slayer guitarist's solo band in action for the first time.

“Residue” follows the album’s first single, “Idle Hands .” Both songs have a style similar to Slayer’s, as King has stated that his solo project is a sonic extension of his work in the legendary thrash band.

The music video was directed by Jim Louvau and Tony Aguilera . Check it out below.

The lineup for King's eponymous band includes vocalist Mark Osegueda ( Death Angel ), guitarist Phil Demmell (ex- Machine Head) , bassist Kyle Sanders ( Hellyeah ), and drummer Paul Bostaph ( Slayer ).
