Kerry King , guitarist for Slayer , paid tribute to Paul Di'Anno with his solo band. During shows in Australia, the band played the Iron Maiden ." The track is from the group's second album, Killers , which was the musician's last work with the band. Di'Anno, whose real name was Paul Andrew , passed away in October of this year at the age of 66.

Recently, Paul's family authorized his Facebook page to reveal the cause of death. In the statement, they explained that he suffered a rupture of the pericardium (the membrane surrounding the heart), which caused a leak in the aorta, resulting in cardiac arrest. Death is instantaneous in cases like this. The statement concludes: "May he rest in peace.".

In addition, the musician received other tributes. At the end of November, friends and family gathered in London for a tribute concert. The event covered the legacy left by the singer in the style that made him famous, heavy metal. 

Kerry King's opinion on Iron Maiden

Kerry King recently gave an interview to Metal XS Bruce Dickinson 's latest album , The Mandrake Project. Regarding whether he had heard the album, he replied: “I haven’t heard Bruce’s new album, but I have a friend who told me it’s better than Maiden. That wouldn’t surprise me. Nothing against Maiden, but their songs have become so long, man, I just can’t be bothered with that. And my attention span isn’t that long.”

At the time, he was referring to the band's latest albums: The Book Of Souls from 2015 and Senjutsu from 2021, with songs lasting over ten minutes.
