Kelly Osbourne thanks fans after Ozzy Osbourne's death: "Thank you for being there"

The iconic vocalist passed away on July 22nd, at the age of 76.

Kelly Osbourne , daughter of Ozzy Osbourne , broke her silence following her father's death by sharing a story on Instagram . The iconic vocalist passed away on July 22nd, at the age of 76.

Kelly expressed her deep gratitude to fans around the world for the love and support that helped her overcome this loss. With the song “See You on the Other Side” by Ozzy Osbourne, Kelly posted [transcription via NME ]:

"I've sat down to write this a hundred times and I still don't know if words will ever be enough... but from the bottom of my heart, thank you."

The love, support, and beautiful messages I received from so many of you truly helped me through the most difficult time of my life. Every kind word, every shared memory, every gesture of compassion meant more than I could ever explain.

"Pain is a strange thing—it hits us in waves—I won't be okay for a while—but knowing that my family isn't alone in our grief makes all the difference. I'm holding on tightly to the love, the light, and the legacy we leave behind. Thank you for being there. I love you all so much."

The final farewell to Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne was buried in a private funeral on July 31st. The heavy metal icon and Black Sabbath died on July 22nd, at the age of 76.

The private funeral took place in a church in Gerrards Cross. Afterwards, Ozzy's body was buried beside the lake at his own mansion in Buckinghamshire, as he had said he wished. 

The Sun newspaper , the family placed a wreath, inscribed "Ozzy f***ing Osbourne," on the water's edge. Approximately 110 people close to Ozzy joined his wife Sharon Osbourne and their children Jack, Kelly , and Aimee .

Among the friends who attended the funeral were Marilyn Manson, Corey Taylor ( vocalist of Slipknot ), Rob Zombie , James Hetfield ( of Metallica) , Yungblud , Zakk Wylde , and Sir Elton John . His Black Sabbath Tony Iommi , Bill Ward , and Geezer Butler were also present.

Guests received a simple black invitation with an image of a cross that read: “In loving memory of Ozzy Osbourne”.

The private funeral took place a day after the funeral procession through the streets of Birmingham, England.
