Kelly Osbourne criticizes WWE for wrestler's comments about Ozzy Osbourne

During the company's visit to Birmingham, Becky Lynch stated that the "only good thing" about the city had died a month prior

Kelly Osbourne , daughter of Ozzy Osbourne , harshly criticized WWE after comments made by wrestler Becky Lynch about her father. This occurred last Monday, August 26th, in Birmingham, the hometown of the late Madman.

During the live broadcast of Monday Night Raw , Lynch, who plays a villain in the company, was face-to-face with her opponent, Nikki Bella , who will face her in Paris next weekend. By refusing to fight right there, the Irishwoman harshly criticized the city—and especially Osbourne—stating that "the only good thing" about Birmingham had died a month ago.

“I’m not going to fight in Birmingham. The only good thing that ever came out of here died a month ago. But, to be fair to Ozzy Osbourne, he had the good sense to move to Los Angeles, a real city. Because if I lived here, I’d die too,” she stated [transcription via Loudersound ].

However, the speech, even though it was part of a script, did not please fans. Many believe it was a tasteless joke, given the short time after the singer's death. Furthermore, Ozzy had numerous appearances and collaborations with the company, and in 2021, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame . To date, the company has not officially commented.

Kelly Osbourne then used her Instagram account to criticize WWE. The businesswoman called Becky Lynch a "disrespectful scoundrel" and stated that it was a shame the company allowed the comments about her father and the city.

“Becky Lynch, you are a disrespectful bitch! Birmingham wouldn’t piss on you even if it were on fire. #Birminghamforever. Shame on WWE for allowing such things to be said about my father and his home,” she stated.
