Pop singer Kelly Clarkson has done a cover of "Sad But True," a song originally by Metallica .

"Sad But True" is one of the great classics in the band's discography, released in 1991 on the album that bears the same name as the group, or The Black Album .
The vocalist is a popular name in the industry and won American Idol in 2002. She has a string of hits in her career, such as "Since U Been Gone," "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)," and "Because Of You," in addition to being the winner of numerous awards.
