Country singer pays tribute to Chris Cornell, Tom Petty and Malcolm Young at the turn of the year

The musician created a medley to honor those who passed away in 2017

Country singer and guitarist Keith Urban headlined Nashville's Music City Midnight, a year-end event, where he delivered a moving tribute to the artists we lost in 2017.

In freezing temperatures, Urban played Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" as a tribute to vocalist Chris Cornell, who committed suicide in May 2017.

Moving on to a medley of Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode" and venturing into the riff of AC/DC's "Back in Black" in homage to guitarist Malcolm Young, the musician concluded with Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'".
