The Prodigy frontman Keith Flint was found dead this morning
Keith Flint , frontman of the band The Prodigy , died at age 49. He was found dead this morning (March 4) at his home in Essex, southeast England.
Bandmate Liam Howlett said Keith died by suicide.
“The news is true. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend,” he wrote. “I’m shocked, angry, confused and heartbroken… RIP brother Liam.”
An Essex police spokesperson confirmed the death of the 49-year-old man. "We were called regarding a man's welfare at the address after 8:10 am on Monday," they said.
"Unfortunately, a 49-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been notified. The death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will be prepared by the medical examiner."
The band also confirmed the news through a statement: “It is with great shock and sadness that we confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint. A true pioneer, innovator and legend. He will always be remembered. We appreciate the respect and privacy of everyone involved at this time.”
