Katatonia released their new single “Temporal” this Wednesday, the 7th. The song is part of their new album Nightmares As Extensions Of The Waking , which will be released on June 6th by Napalm Records .
The Swedish band also released the lyric video for “Temporal”. Vocalist Jonas Renkse commented: “'Temporal', when the enchantment fades. When the riffs are in motion, the combination offers no solace beyond the pleasure of the vicious circle and the colors of the night. Enjoy.”
This work marks a new phase for the band, with the introduction of two new guitarists. Katatonia now consists of vocalist and founding member Jonas Renkse, bassist Niklas Sandin , drummer Daniel Moilanen , and guitarists Nico Elgstrand and Sebastian Svalland .
In March of this year, Katatonia announced on their social media the departure of guitarist and founder Anders Nyström after more than three decades of collaboration.
