Guitarist and bassist Karl Cochran passed away last Wednesday, the 19th, in a car accident in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

The musician was part of Ace Frehley and helped write the song "Into the Void," which appeared on KISS 's Psycho Circus . He also participated in the Eric Singer Project.

According to the Police Department, Karl was in the passenger seat when the vehicle he was in crashed into a tree. The car was being driven by his 90-year-old mother, Arna Cochran .

On X (formerly Twitter), KISS posted: “Our dear friend Karl Cochran passed away in a car accident on February 19th. Karl was an extraordinary vocalist and guitarist who had overcome a stroke but never stopped fighting. He was loved by fans worldwide at his performances and was a constant inspiration on the KISS Kruises. Our thoughts are with Geri and his family.”
