After two long tours through major cities in North America and Europe, as well as a quick series of shows in Australia and Japan, the American band Kamelot will finally land in South America in 2020 with the promotional tour for their new album, The Shadow Theory .
Considered one of the most original and influential groups of the last few decades in the heavy metal scene, Thomas Youngblood (guitar), Tommy Karevik (vocals), Oliver Palotai (keyboards), Sean Tibbetts (bass) and Alex Landenburg (drums) continue to fascinate fans with their masterful theatrical performance, mixing symphonic metal, prog, power and even world music.
Produced by Liberation MC, the shows in Brazil will take place in Brasília (May 15th – Toinha), São Paulo (May 16th – Carioca Club) and Rio de Janeiro (May 17th – Circo Voador). Tickets and VIP packages with Meet & Greet will go on sale this Thursday (December 19th) at noon.
With nearly three decades on the road and millions of records sold, Kamelot is among the most prestigious and innovative artists in the history of rock/metal. The albums The Fourth Legacy (1999), Karma (2001) and The Black Halo (2005) are considered true works of art, but it was with the release of Haven (2015), which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Music charts, that the group took a new leap forward, undertaking the most successful tour of their career to date, with numerous sold-out shows in several different countries.
Produced by acclaimed producer Sascha Paeth and mastered by Jacob Hansen, The Shadow Theory is aggressive, epic, and emotionally dynamic in a dystopian and psychological world. The new album features all the mind-blowing elements of Kamelot, with captivating melodies and masterful virtuosity, but with the addition of new and modern characteristics to further intensify the drama of their music. Special guests include Lauren Hart (Once Human) , Jennifer Haben (Beyond The Black) , and Oliver Hartmann (Avantasia) .
