During his appearance on The Wikimetal Happy Hour , Kadu Pelegrini , from Kiara Rocks , spoke with Nando Machado Slayer and Linkin Park fans Maximus festival in 2017.

“What I thought was bullshit was Slayer fans saying they were going to beat up Linkin Park fans – because Linkin Park was playing later. I’ve never seen that kind of thing [abroad] at festivals and I think it’s ridiculous. So you mean you think a guy can’t see a band he likes because it’s not the same style as his?” Kadu asks. “It’s childish, and Slayer fans are older guys who shouldn’t be worried about that kind of thing. They should be worried about watching the show and enjoying it.”

The rivalry between audiences of different rock and metal subgenres is something Kadu claims is a very strong characteristic of Brazilian fans, something not found internationally, but his solution to seek greater unity within the national scene would be to bring together bands that "like each other" to create festivals.

“I think [the solution] is to stop insisting on bands that want to compete with each other [and always want the headliner spot], let go of that kind of thing – it won't work – and put on bands that are just starting out and get them together. Unfortunately, the bands where they are now think there's too much competition, but there's room for everyone to play, there's an audience for everyone, and a fan who likes one band will be able to like another band without ceasing to like [the first]. It's simple, right? But some people don't understand,” concludes Kadu. Check out the excerpt from the conversation through our Special Cuts :
