Kadu Pelegrini comments on the hate directed at Machine Gun Kelly: "There are better things to hate on, like politics."

The musician spoke about the unnecessary hate some artists receive and expressed admiration for rising stars like Måneskin

During their appearance on The Wikimetal Happy Hour , Kadu Pelegrini , from Kiara Rocks , and Nando Machado discussed the criticism from more conservative audiences regarding rising new names in rock, and Kadu mentioned an artist who has been generating a lot of buzz: Machine Gun Kelly .

The conversation took place before the controversies between Gun Kelly and Corey Taylor , and Kadu Pelegrini commented on the rapper's work on his pop-punk album, Tickets To My Downfall , repudiating the hate the artist received from the public dissatisfied with his work. “I think Machine Gun Kelly is a really cool guy. He released an album with Travis Barker that sounds a bit like blink [ 182 ], he also did some rap in the middle, which he likes, and now he released a more rock song and everyone started complaining ,” said Kadu.

“What does a musician do? He makes, records, and releases the music. If you don't like it, if you don't want to listen, fuck you. Now, to hate… It's what I've always said, there are better things to hate, like politics. Politicians are something you have reason to hate because of the crap they do, because they're influencing your life and harming your life. Now, to hate a musician because he made your music? He's not making your life worse, he's not wasting your money,” he concluded.

Pelegrini and Nando Machado then listed a series of names from the new generation who have been shining in rock, mentioning Greta Van Fleet live performance skills, the live show that rapper Post Malone did in tribute to Nirvana , and even singer Miley Cyrus , who recently performed with Metallica .

Kadu also expressed his admiration for the Italian hard rock quartet Måneskin , which has been a huge hit on social media. “I think it’s fucking cool. I think it’s really good, I think the guys have a cool rock and roll style. The guy has style, a cool look, there’s a woman on bass, which is really cool – I don’t have to complain, or be a petty nitpicker,” Kadu commented.

“You have to give credit to these guys: they broke the TikTok by playing rock and roll. They released music with Iggy Pop now, so these guys are tuned in. If it's a bunch of young kids playing with Iggy Pop, the new generation will get to know Iggy Pop and will play rock on TikTok. Be grateful because that's impossible [playing rock] on TikTok,” he concluded.

Following a controversy with Corey Taylor, Machine Gun Kelly announces an album that will feature a "heavy guitar sound".
