The speculation continues regarding who will replace David Ellefson , who was fired from Megadeth after a sexual scandal . Besides Jason Newsted , Brazilian internet users are calling for another Brazilian representative in the band, this time bassist Juninho Groovador .
The artist became known after going viral on the internet with rock covers with a forró twist, a talent that earned him an invitation from Jack Black and Kyle Gass of Tenacious D to perform with them at Rock in Rio 2019.
On social media, requests for the inclusion of the bassist from Rio Grande do Norte in Dave Mustaine flooded the band's social media and reached Kiko Loureiro , who opened a poll on his Instagram Stories when asked about the subject. With little time left for the final vote, the vast majority of the guitarist's followers wanted Groovador in the position.

The news did not go unnoticed by the bassist. "I'm very happy that you mentioned my name among the bassists nominated to join Megadeth, know that this is already a victory for me," he posted on Twitter.
Despite his joy at the fans' affection, Juninho explained on social media that he had already published a video in homage to Megadeth, but received no response, with praise coming only from Loureiro. “I didn't get a reply. I contacted Kiko Loureiro and, from what I understand, [they] weren't enthusiastic about my Northeastern version. However, I am fully available to collaborate with the Megadeth family, for sure,” he explained. “I'm happy for your affection, (…) but the author himself, Dave, the band's leader, doesn't seem to have liked the version very much.”
