The band is in the studio
Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman has stated that the vocalist for the supergroup Giraffe Tongue Orchestra is Juliette Lewis, actress and vocalist for Juliette And The Licks. The band is currently in the studio finishing their first album.
Currently featuring Brent Hinds (Mastodon), Ben Weinman (Dillinger Escape Plan), Thomas Pridgen (ex-The Mars Volta, Suicidal Tendencies, Trash Talk) and Pete Griffin (ex-Zappa Plays Zappa, ex-Dethklok), the Giraffe Tongue Orchestra was formed in 2011.
Weinman spoke about the choice of vocalist: “She and I became very close friends, and she’s incredible. Obviously, I’m a big fan of her work as an actress, and I went to see her band a few years ago, and I was skeptical. At the end of the show, she was drenched in sweat and throwing herself into the audience, and I saw someone giving her all, all her energy and spirit to the music.”
