Julian Lennon , the eldest son of the iconic John Lennon, has released his newest single, "The Lucky Ones." The song is part of the album Jude , scheduled for release on September 3rd.
“The Lucky Ones,” according to a statement released to the press, shows “Lennon’s ability to inspire hope and unity with an anesthetizing hook that reminds us that we are the ‘lucky ones,’ as his passion for climate action comes through lyrics that call for a revolution.”.
Jude was co-produced with Julian's longtime guitarist, Justin Clayton , and two other tracks, "Freedom" and "Every Little Moment," . The album's name is inspired by the famous Beatles Paul McCartney initially wrote as "Hey Jules." McCartney wrote the song to comfort Julian, then five years old, after his parents' separation.
In the statement, he explained: “With great respect for the overwhelming significance of the song written for me, the title Jude conveys the real journey of my life that these tracks represent.” Jude follows Everything Changes , from 2011.
