Marilyn Manson case: Judge decides to dismiss rape case due to statute of limitations

The victim has 20 days to "add further details" to the accusations

A judge has decided to dismiss one of the lawsuits accusing Marilyn Manson of rape and threats. According to documents obtained by Rolling Stone , the victim can still appeal and the charges could still be accepted.

Last Tuesday, the 14th, Judge Gregory Keosian accepted the objections of Brian Warner , the musician's birth name, and decided to dismiss the case on the grounds that the facts described in the lawsuit were time-barred.

The victim accuses Manson of rape during a relationship between them in 2011. The same accusations are cited in the three other lawsuits filed against the singer this year, as well as in the accounts of Evan Rachel Wood , one of the first women to accuse Marilyn Manson of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.

According to the judge, the victim's justification for the delay in opening the case due to "late discovery" of the abuse as a consequence of mental disorders from the trauma "was not sufficient to overcome the period of description." The prosecution has 20 days to appeal the decision.

“The judge carefully reviewed the case law and legitimately held that her case can proceed, provided she amends her accusation to add some additional details. We intend to amend those additional details soon, and we look forward to the opportunity to hold Manson accountable for his actions,” the victim’s defense said in a statement sent to Rolling Stone .
