The band is recording demos

In an interview with the music equipment store Sweetwater, Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner spoke about the progress in composing the band's next album:

“I flew straight here from the UK. We’ve been in the studio for the last few months, putting the songs together. We haven’t started recording yet, but we’re recording demos; we’re recording songs that work even without any production, if you know what I mean. We’re laying down the basic ideas and working on them for the next Priest album. Then we’ll go into the studio to record in January. It should be out sometime next year, but we’re not touring next year. We’ll start touring, I hope, in 2018.”.
