Judas Priest performs “Tyrant” live for the first time in 35 years; videos here

The last time they played the track was in 1983

If you've ever been to a Judas Priest show where they played "Tyrant," then you're part of a small group of lucky fans, as the metal gods haven't performed the song since 1983, according to the website setlist.fm . But now that has changed.

On the final night of Firepower's North American tour this Tuesday, the 1st, the group took the stage in San Antonio, Texas, and performed the classic from Sad Wings Of Destiny (1976).

Throughout the tour, surprises happened all the time. Glenn Tipton, who had to step away from the band for health reasons , made some guest appearances, while the setlist included songs like "Victim of Changes" and "Beyond the Realms of Death," among some less frequently played tracks such as "Running Wild," "Bloodstone," "Some Heads Are Gonna Roll," and even "Saints in Hell," which had never been performed live before.
