Judas Priest released "The Serpent And The King" last Thursday, the 22nd, the fourth single from their upcoming album, Invincible Shield .

Scheduled for release on March 8th via Sonic Music , the album features eleven tracks, plus three more in its deluxe version, totaling fourteen songs.

Regarding “The Serpent And The King”, Rob Halford told Apple Music 1 ( via Blabbermouth ): “Judas Priest has been screaming heavy metal for over 50 years. The passion and the power and the love and the dedication and all the other glorious words you can use for this band, Judas Priest, are roaring in this song, 'The Serpent And The King'.”

He continues: “It’s just another definition of this particular style of metal, this intense, relentless, uncompromising and invincible approach, and the love we have in this band for this particular music. And we talk about many things. We talk about the sinner, we talk about the saints, and we talk about painkillers, but we never talk about God and the devil entering the universal boxing ring, so to speak. That’s the message.”

“We’re talking about this ancient thing that’s been happening since the beginning of the universe. It’s God, it’s the devil. It’s black and white, it’s positive, it’s negative, it’s good, it’s evil, it’s love, it’s hate. It’s all these different textures involved in this fierce, uninterrupted, and relentless track, ‘The Serpent And The King’,” he concluded.

In addition to this, the British group released “Panic Attack” , “Trial By Fire” and “Crown Of Horns” , all available on digital platforms.
