Rob Halford , vocalist of Judas Priest, revealed during a recent interview with Classic Rock that he has never listened to the band's albums with Tim "Ripper" Owens. The singer recorded Jugulator (1997) and Demolition (2001) with Judas Priest during the period when Halford had left the band.

“No, I haven’t listened to [the Judas Priest albums with Ripper] yet. This might sound selfish, but since I wasn’t singing, I wasn’t drawn to listening. I sound like an idiot, but I’m just not interested. And that’s not disrespectful to Ripper, because he’s my friend,” he stated.

Halford recalled meeting Ripper during a Judas Priest show when the former vocalist visited them backstage. Asked if it was strange being with Ripper on that occasion, Rob replied: “Not at all. We hugged each other. He’s a big Priest fan. When the opportunity arose for me to come back, he said: ‘Okay, that’s great – I’m happy for the band, I’m happy for Rob.’ I respect his talent, he’s a great vocalist.”
