The successor to Redeemer of Souls will be released soon.

In an interview with Rock Overdose, guitarist Richie Faulkner spoke about the new Judas Priest album, which will be released on March 9th by Epic.

“I’m very excited (…) We’ve already released a song and some journalists are already listening to the entire album, so we’re starting to receive feedback from people and it’s incredibly positive, which makes us even more excited for everyone to hear the album ,” he reveals.

When asked about the difference between Firepower and its predecessor Redeemer Of Souls (2014), Faulkner said that the new work sounds better, “If it didn’t, why would we release it? We wanted to do something different, something better, something like classic Judas Priest but with a touch of the modern Judas Priest of 2018.”

The guitarist concluded by saying that although it wasn't a conscious decision, it wasn't possible to disregard the band's early albums as an inspiration.
