Halford says he already has songs ready
In an interview with VH1 radio, Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford revealed that the band already has enough material for a new album, and that it should be released later this year
“Right now we are very confident and I think I can say that a new album should be finished by the end of the year. So in the not too distant future, there will be a new Judas Priest album.”.

Halford says the band feels it's important to release an album to follow up on Nostradamus, released in 2008. “That album had a more experimental concept, and we loved it, and the fans did too. But I think we and the fans want Judas Priest to make big statements about Heavy Metal again.”
Judas Priest released this week the DVD commemorating 40 years of the band's career, "Epitaph". The show was filmed in London in May 2012 and contains 23 songs representing each of the band's 14 studio albums.
