Judas Priest confirmed to replace Ozzy Osbourne at the Power Trip festival.

Following Ozzy's cancellation due to health issues, Judas Priest takes over.

Judas Priest has been announced as one of the headliners for the highly anticipated US Power Trip following the cancellation of Ozzy Osbourne at the event, which takes place between October 6th and 8th in California.

The announcement of the cancellation of Ozzy Osbourne's show at Power Trip happened last Monday, the 10th. Just a few months after announcing a break from the stage and tours due to health issues, the Prince of Darkness revealed that he is still not ready to return. "Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I'm not ready yet and I'm too proud for the first show I do in almost five years to be so-so," he said. See the full statement here .

Fortunately, the thousands of headbangers planning to attend the festival in the United States didn't have to wait long for a replacement, and Judas Priest is confirmed for Power Trip , replacing Ozzy on Saturday, October 7th.

In February, when Osbourne surprised fans with the sad news that he would need to end his touring days due to his physical limitations , Judas Priest was scheduled to tour with the singer on the canceled tour, but the band showed immediate support for Ozzy's decision. "We send all our love and support to Ozzy and thank our fans, especially in the UK and Ireland, for their loyalty and for standing by us," they said at the time. The Power Trip also marks the return of AC/DC to the stage after seven years without live performances. Other acts include Guns N' Roses , Metallica , Tool , and Iron Maiden .
