Judas Priest releases title track from new album; listen here

The new track is named after the band's eighteenth studio album

Judas Priest has released the title track from their new album Firepower , which will be released on March 9th by Epic.

The successor to Redeemer Of Souls (2014), the album was produced by Andy Sneap, the band's longtime collaborator Tom Allom, and engineer Mike Exeter.

The powerful album cover was created by Chilean/Italian artist Claudio Bergamin, and you can see it below.

During an interview with the British magazine Metal Hammer, frontman Rob Halford spoke about the themes that make up Firepower: “We always try to be ambiguous so our fans can interpret the songs however they want, but in this one we're talking about Mother Earth and the house that's in Downing Street [the seat of the British government]. But we found a balance so it wouldn't sound too intense.”

Following the album's release, the band will embark on the first leg of their new tour in the United States. They will be joined by Saxon and Black Star Riders.
