To celebrate the 40th anniversary of their best-selling album, Screaming for Vengeance , Judas Priest has teamed up with Z2 Comics in a partnership to release an original science fiction comic book in 2022.
One of the writers responsible for the project, Rantz Hoseley , expressed his admiration for Judas Priest, stating that Screaming for Vengeance became his "daily soundtrack and creative fuel" at the time of its release.
The synopsis of the comic book describes a dystopian future in which an engineer brings trouble upon himself by making a discovery. Read on:
“500 years in the future, a circle of cities orbits above the surface of a dead planet, controlled by a ruling elite who maintain their power through manipulation and brutality. When a naive engineer accidentally threatens the status quo with his vital scientific discovery, a bloodstone, he is betrayed by those he trusted and banished to the abandoned planet below. Amidst the destruction and desolation of a shattered world where each day is a battle for survival, he must choose between accepting his new life in exile or screaming for revenge .”
