Joy Division: Former members will perform a live show to mark the 40th anniversary of Ian Curtis' death.

The historic broadcast will take place next Monday, the 18th, from 4 PM to 6 PM.

Nobody expected this legendary live stream!

The former members of Joy Division will reunite for a live stream, titled " Moving Through Silence: celebrating the life & legacy of Ian Curtis ," on May 18th, from 4 PM to 6 PM (Brasilia time), to remember vocalist Ian Curtis , who sadly passed away 40 years ago, and also to mark the anniversary of the album "Closer ," released in the same year as the artist's death.

The members of New Order , the band that formed after Curtis's death, Bernard Sumner and Stephen Morris , will be present at the live stream without Peter Hook , who is no longer part of the lineup. The musicians will celebrate Ian's legacy alongside other artists highly influenced by the band, such as vocalist Brandon Flowers of The Killers , and the bands Elbow and Kodaline .

The broadcast will be streamed via the United We Stream , and as expected, will be accepting donations to combat COVID-19, specifically to a mental health charity in Manchester, the band's hometown.
