Journey 's new album will be released this year! Guitarist Neal Schon has announced the title of the new project and the complete tracklist for the band's first album of new material in over a decade.
With no release date yet announced, the album Freedom will have 15 tracks and is "on its way". The first single released from the successor to Eclipse (2011) was launched in July of last year, called "The Way We Used To Be".
This project is the first since the return of drummer Deen Castronovo , who was fired in 2015 following allegations of assault and abuse, and now shares the position with Narada Michael Walden . The band's current lineup is completed by Schon, Arnel Pineda (vocals), Jonathan Cain (keyboards), Randy Jackson (bass), and Jason Derlatka (keyboards and vocals).
