Watch the video of Josh Homme's assault.

Josh Homme, the lead singer of Queens Of The Stone Age, kicked a photographer in the face during the band's performance at a commemorative show for a Los Angeles radio station.

Photographer Chelsea Lauren stated that the assault was "obviously very intentional" and completely unprovoked, and that Homme was even smiling before kicking her.

Josh Homme issued a statement on Sunday characterizing the assault as an accident:

“Yesterday, while I was completely focused on our performance, I kicked several pieces of equipment off our stage. Today, I was informed that this included a camera that was in the hands of photographer Chelsea Lauren. I had no intention of this happening and I am deeply sorry. I would never intentionally hurt someone who was working at or attending one of our shows and I hope Chelsea will accept my sincere apologies.”.
