“All viruses, if you stop to think about it – from avian flu, mad cow disease, whatever you call them, all these COVID episodes we have – always come from the fact that we eat animals because we shouldn’t do that. That’s what I think,” said the musician. “I get kind of upset about it. I don’t think it’s a conspiracy or divine punishment; I just think it’s a normal reaction to our behavior on this planet. This kind of shit is going to happen if you don’t behave.”
Joseph went on to say that the power of choice is in everyone's hands from the moment we go to the supermarket and choose what to buy, as well as other small actions that have a large-scale effect. "This is something I tell people and they're often surprised because it's not something very mental to say, but the power is in your wallet. Even if you spend two dollars a day; you still have power in that," he reflected.
“Another thing we can do is be polite and try to listen to people and improve ourselves instead of getting angry at the world. We can turn on the tap to wash our hands and then turn it off.
