“‘Charlie Parker’ is one of my favorite songs from Eat the Worm . It’s a fantastic, fictional flight of fancy,” says Wilson about the song, which draws on experiences in Boston in the 80s, North Carolina in the early 90s, and a European jazz festival in the early 2000s.

“It also touches on the highs and lows of my life over the last decade as a touring musician and much more,” he continues. “It’s full of strings, brass instruments, guitars, and some bebop elements, hence the name. In a way, ‘Charlie Parker’ encompasses everything the new album represents: adventure, loyalty, and fun. We created another incredibly mind-blowing AI video to go with it, and I think it perfectly captures the mood of the song.”
