Jonathan Davis (Korn) says he is “very proud” of his solo album.

The album does not yet have a release date.

Jonathan Davis, frontman of Korn, recently revealed that he is working on his first solo album and during an interview with Two Dogs Reviews, he said he is very proud of the work.

The musician revealed that he has been compiling ideas for the album since 2007. Composing while on the road with Korn, Davis recorded his riffs and lyrics alone: “When I listen to the material, it takes me back to when I recorded it, back in 2007, but it’s so current that I don’t think it sounds old (…) I don’t know… I’m very proud.”

Davis also spoke about the subject matter of his lyrics, saying that he will not address any current issues, such as US politics. “My music is for you to forget all that. So there will be no politics. The nation is so divided that nobody has the right answer. And I don't want to open that door ,” he confessed.

According to him, his Korn colleagues are supporting his work, "They're happy for me. We're a family, there's nothing strange about wanting to do something different on your own ," he says.

Although no release date has been announced, the album is expected to be released soon. Meanwhile, Davis will be embarking on a solo tour to promote his new single "What It Is," which is featured in the film American Satan, released in October 2017 in the United States.
