And what also shocked the headbanger world was the unexpected presence of Iced Earth guitarist Jon Schaffer among the invaders of the Capitol .
After the widespread attention, the artist is now on the list of "persons of interest to the police for illegal trespassing." The news was revealed during a PowerPoint presentation published by the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department. The slides included several images of individuals present at the events, now wanted by the police, among them the image of Schaffer that went viral on social media and in news outlets around the world.
