Mourning in the music world: former Skid Row Johnny Solinger has passed away at age 55, the band confirms .

The musician's death comes about a month after the artist shared with the public that he was suffering from liver failure. “It is with a heavy heart that I must let everyone know what is happening to me and my health. I have been hospitalized for over a month. I was diagnosed with liver failure. And the prognosis is not so good. As happens with most musicians, I don't have health insurance and it's very difficult to get adequate care without it,” Johnny shared on social media on May 8th.

“We are deeply saddened to hear the news about our brother Johnny Solinger. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans. God bless you, Singo. Say hello to Scrappy for us. Much love, Rachel Bolan,
ZP Theart, Snake Sabo, Rob Hammersmith, Scotti Hill,” the band shared.

The musician was a member of Skid Row from 1999 until 2015, when he was dismissed. He appeared on the albums Thickskin and Revolutions Per Minute , as well as the EPs United World Rebellion and Rise Of The Damnation Army .

Rest in peace, Johnny.
