After appearing wearing a t-shirt supporting Donald Trump , former Sex Pistol Johnny Rotten confirmed his support for the current president in a recent interview with The Guardian this Sunday, the 11th.

“I would be very stupid if I didn’t support him,” explains John Lydon , also known as Johnny Rotten.

"He's the only sensible option now that [ Joe ] Biden is in the lead – he's incapable of being the man for that job."

The former Sex Pistols frontman, who had supported Democratic candidate Barack Obama in previous elections, gave two explanations for his support of Republican Donald Trump: The first is the economy, which, according to Rotten, is doing well.

And the second is the fact that the president was called a racist after refusing to curb and counter white supremacist groups.

“I was also accused of the same thing, so I’m offended if anyone is accused [of being racist],” Lydon commented to The Guardian .

“If I’m wrong, I have every ability to change my mind. I’ve done it many times. That’s why I love debate and conversation, because you learn. I don’t get entrenched in the same opinion and stuck in it forever,” concludes Johnny Rotten.
