After the release of the powerful “Veneno” , Johnny Monster arrives this Thursday, the 27th, with the new “Até O Fim”, made in collaboration with the singer and composer from São Paulo, Raphael Belchior . Listen here.
“Até O Fim” is a vibrant song that flirts with elements of new wave and punk rock to create a relaxed atmosphere where we can lose ourselves in the narrative of the lyrics.
“I wanted something really danceable, super upbeat and energetic, 'to play on the radio' (laughs),” Johnny says in a statement. “Producer Michel Kuaker by 3 songs from 3 artists I really like: Devo , with 'Whip It', we emulated that classic Devo whip sound in the choruses. Also, Ezra Furman in 'Unbelievers', with its 'garage' arrangement, and the Ramones , with 'Howling At The Moon', with its new wave vibe, and that classic harpsichord sound.”
Like "Veneno," "Até O Fim" is part of Johnny Monster's new album, scheduled for release later in 2021. This promises to be the "most diverse" album of his career, featuring collaborations with big names like Eriberto Leão , who sings on a track about flying saucers, and Bianca Jhordão , from Leela .
