The singer-songwriter Johnny Monster has released Líquido Inflamável, his new studio album.
The work has a weight that contrasts with the folk sound of his last album, A Nova Era Do Só Você , from 2023. The highlight now is the intense guitars and atmospheric effects, but still with the focus on the sensitivity of Johnny's compositions and lyrics.
"This is by far my most daring, dense, and risky work. There are no concessions throughout the entire album," Johnny said in a statement released to the press.
"Abstract, sometimes surreal lyrics, psychedelic and lengthy soundscapes. If an artist should reflect their time, I believe this album possesses all the weight, solitude, and uncertainty of our present."
The project was carried out with producer Paulo Grassia, who also recorded a good portion of the instruments.
Flammable Liquid is a release from the ForMusic Records label.
