Johnny Monster 's "Deep Dream" anticipates the release of Winter Solstice Reloaded , which will be released on December 18th by the ForMusic and can be heard on all digital platforms .

This will be a new version of Winter Solstice , the artist's first solo album, released in 2009. To celebrate these 11 years performing as Johnny Monster, the new release has been remastered by Michel Kuaker and features bonus tracks, a new tracklist, and a reinvented visual identity.

This will also be the debut of the tracks from Winter Solstice on most digital platforms, since in the original release they were restricted to Soundcloud, despite having reached important stages of the São Paulo scene, such as Sesc Pompeia and Prata da Casa.

“Last night I dreamed that everything was going to change. Suddenly I woke up, and everything was in the same place.” This verse from Johnny Monster’s new single, “Sonho Profundo” (Deep Dream), describes a feeling shared worldwide in 2020. Although not conceived for a pandemic scenario, the song, which arrives on digital platforms this Friday, the 20th, fits into a reality in which we continually yearn for something new.

The single completes the preview of the album given by “A Estrada” , “O Sol” and “O Tempo Não Erra Jamais” .

“The single is a retrieval from my archives, a b-side that didn't make it onto the first release. It's a song that reflects a discontent with the way we live in Brazil that was there in 2009, and that persists in 2020,” says Johnny Monster about the song that flirts with Brit-pop, with inspirations from Doves , Oasis , and Suede .

Solstício de Inverno Reloaded revives the artist's first experience without the bands Rip Monsters , where he acted as bassist and vocalist for 8 years and with whom he released 4 albums, and Daniel Belleza e os Corações em Fúria , with whom he recorded 3 albums and participated in important festivals, including Lollapalooza Brasil in 2012.

In his solo career, he also released the EPs Plaine de Mongolie (2014), Canções do Desapego (2019, by ForMusic) — which contains the single “Folhas de Outono” , inspired by “Sonho Profundo”, and Abrigo em Fase de Construção (2020, by ForMusic).
