Brazilian singer-songwriter Johnny Monster Líquido Inflamável on Wednesday, April 9th. The video, directed by Gastão Moreira, will be available on Kazagastão YouTube channel .
“I’ve been following my incredibly talented friend’s solo career since the beginning,” reveals Gastão. “I was blown away when I heard his work. With seven inspired songs, meticulously arranged and very well produced, ‘Líquido Inflamável’ became my favorite within his excellent discography. I liked it so much that I called him and offered to make a music video for it.”
The video, recorded by Moreira and his wife Beatriz Barbi at their home, was based on a simple idea: a fixed camera, contrasting black and white images, highlighting Johnny's idiosyncratic performance against a white background. “I was sure that this would be more than enough to achieve a good result, because he is a born artist, sincere, visceral, who completely surrenders himself to his art. I think the video fulfilled its role of highlighting the duality contained in his stage name. A conscious and kind human being who, on stage, sheds all vanity and shamelessly exposes the depths of his soul.”
In addition to the music video, Monster will hold a launch show in São Paulo on the same day. The performance, which takes place at Exit Bar (Alameda Lorena, 2104 – Jardim Paulista) starting at 9:30 PM, will revisit not only the recent project, but also the singer's solo career and other influences.
