Johnny Cash felt a deep affinity for the figure of Paul and what the apostle represented to him. The musician described his recurring struggle against addiction as a "thorn in the flesh," an expression used by the character in question to describe his own internal battles.
Cash, known abroad as "the Man in Black," draws a parallel to his identity in the book's title: Man in White: A Novel About the Apostle Paul . The book will arrive in Brazil in April 2022, during Catholic Holy Week.
