Members deny possibility
In a press conference in Tilburg, Dream Theater members John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess were asked if the band is interested in reuniting with drummer Mike Portnoy, possibly for a band anniversary show. The two musicians stated that a reunion will not happen
“We have no plans to do something like that. Mike is great and he’s doing many, many projects right now ,” said Petrucci. Rudess added, “He’s too busy for us.”
Petrucci continued: “He’s in twenty bands. I don’t think he has the time. But yes, this commemorative tour of 'Images And Words' will not have any former members as guests.”
