John Paul Jones, of Led Zeppelin, announces new band

The musician will venture out with Sons Of Chipotle

Former Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones will return to the stage and the studio with his new band, Sons Of Chipotle. After participating in Them Crooked Vultures, Seasick Steve , and Butthole Surfers , the musician brings yet another new project.

Jones will play piano alongside Finnish musician Anssi Karttunen , Otomo Yoshihide of Ground Zero , and Jim O'Rourke of Sonic Youth . "It's incredibly rare to find two of the world's best musicians playing in such an intimate setting with a series of memorable shows," Jones wrote on his website.

There is still no information on when the band will make its debut, but in the meantime, the bassist is celebrating the band's 50th anniversary with an illustrated book and a documentary series that tells the story of the group.
